PURPOSE:To obtain excellent solid black color forming uniformity, in thermal recording paper wherein a specific thermal color forming layer is arranged on the upper surface of a support, by forming the support from specific paper and arranging a specific undercoat layer between the support and the thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:Thermal recording paper is constituted by arranging a thermal color forming layer based on a leuco dye and a developer on the upper surface of a support. In this case, the support is formed from paper composed of raw material pulp containing 3wt.% or more of old paper pulp prepared using mechanical pulp type old paper as a raw material and an undercoat layer is arranged between the support and the thermal color forming layer. The undercoat layer is formed from a coating soln. based on pigment and a binder and having viscosity of 500cps due to a B-type viscometer by a nip touch type rod coat system supporting the undercoat layer to weigh the same. As the pigment used in the undercoat coating soln., a hollow filler is selected. |
