<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a plurality of controllers for controlling allotted parts of the apparatus to thereby control the entire apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus drive controller 20 is connected to an image process controller 40 and an automatic manuscript feed controller 60 through signal lines L1, L2, respectively. While in synchronous operations between the controllers 20, 40 and between the controllers 60, 40, the controllers 20, 40, 60 respectively control corresponding units of a copier 1 to control the entire copier 1. Image reading synchronizing interval signals each required to take a high time precision are transmitted over signal lines L3, L4, L5 and through an OR gate 7 to realize a stable synchronous operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
