The invention concerns the water provision at industrial enterprises, thermal and nuclear power plants, it can be used in the water industry, activity of which is connected with the pumping over of water and its mechanical purification. Filter has a housing, in which a mobile purifier is located. The purifier has a cleaning opening and is connected to the drain branch pipe. In the housing the partitions forming the chambers are mounted, and, at least, one sieve closing them. The axis of rotationof the purifier is located across the direction of the flow of liquid being filtered, and the edge of partitions are located over the surface of revolution, for example, over the cylindrical surface, axis of which coincides with the axis of rotation of purifier. In the housing of purifier a blind is mounted in such a manner that in one of the positions of purifier it contacts with the edges of the purifying opening of its cavity. The blind is mobile and has a drive. Filter is equipped with the drive of turning of purifier. The invention provides the reliability of filter and simplification of its maintenance.
