A temperature sensor in an automatic heating system comprises at least two temperature dependent resistors each of which is arranged to predominate over a different part of the temperature range. A negative characteristic resistor 1 controls a regulator R in the lower part of the range another negative characteristic resistor 2 being short circuited by a positive characteristic resistor 6. In the upper part of the range the resistor 6 has a high resistance hence the resistor 2 predominates in controlling the regulator R. Other arrangements are described in the Specification. The resistor 6 preferably has a "knee" in its temperature characteristic.</p> |
