PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer insulator allowing easy reuse and easy disposal by classification. SOLUTION: A recessed part 35 and a swelling part 36 are formed on an inner peripheral face 31A of an insertion hole 31 of a rubber material 3 separate from a core material 2, oil is applied in the insertion hole 31 of the rubber material 3, and the core material 2 is inserted into the insertion hole 31 to constitute this polymer insulator. After its use, the rubber material 3 can be easily separated from the core material 2 by, for example, cutting the rubber material 3 by a cutter since an inner peripheral face 31A of the rubber material 3 does not adhere closely to an outer peripheral face of the core material 2. The core material 2 is recovered for reuse, and the rubber material 3 is cut into chips for reuse as rubber chips.
