METHOD FOR TREATING WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of obtaining a carbonate-solidification material and high-purity hydrogen from a waste material containing biomass and concrete without emission of harmful substances.

SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of supplying water vapor and oxygen to the waste material containing biomass and concrete to react so as to gasify the biomass into hydrogen and carbon dioxide, blowing the gasified carbon dioxide into the waste material containing concrete and fixing the carbon dioxide to obtain a carbonate-fixed material, passing the mixed gas containing hydrogen after fixing of the carbon dioxide through activated charcoal to remove tar, condensing water vapor in the gas to remove and refining the resultant gas to obtain high-purity hydrogen.
