PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having a large contact area for connecting a connection plate or the like to an electrode terminal, and capable of stabilizing resistance and charging/discharging large current. SOLUTION: The battery comprises the electrode terminal 10 connected to a power generating element in a battery case and protruded therefrom. The electrode terminal 10 has a rod-shaped part 2 stretched continuously in a protruding direction, and a plate-shaped part 1 formed on the top end part of the rod-shaped part 3. The flat part of the plate-shaped part 1 crosses the protruding direction in right angles, and the cross section of the plate-shaped part 1 is formed larger than that of the rod-shaped part 2.
