PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall structure which is easy to erect, low in construction cost, and allows dew condensation water pooling in the external wall to be effectively drained downward from the external wall by way of a simple structure, without using a ventilation receiving member. SOLUTION: The external wall structure 1 includes a woody structural member, and an external wall panel 2 arranged on the woody structural member, and has a draining member M arranged between the external wall panel 2 at a lower portion of the external wall and a sill 7. Further a draining space C is formed at a location below the draining member M.
