A farm animal or horse grooming assembly has a rotating brush powered by an electric motor with a sensor that measures the electric current flowing through the motor. The motor further has a control unit that reverses the motor electrical polarity when the current measured reaches a pre-determined value. The brush is mounted on a lever arm and is activated when raised and de-activated when lowered.
