PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound machine which can assure high confidentiality to a part to which access is restricted to a third person in transmitted picture data. SOLUTION: An MFP 101 enciphers the part designated as an access restriction part by a user in picture data which is read by a scanner part 201. Picture data where the access restriction part is enciphered are transmitted to a destination designated through a network I/F 205. When the MFP 101 receives a printing request of picture data similar to previously transmitted picture data including the enciphered access restriction part, it authenticates a printing request person issuing the printing request, decodes the enciphered access restriction part of picture data to which printing is requested in accordance with an authentication result and prints picture data where the access restriction part is decoded.
