MOLD ASSEMBLY FOR MOLDING OPTICAL DISK AND OPTICAL DISK MOLDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well perform the regulation of the temperature of an outer peripheral ring in a mold assembly for molding an optical disk equipped with the outer pheripheral ring. SOLUTION: The mold assembly is constituted so as to form a product cavity 3 for forming the optical disk by closing a fixed mold 1 and a movable mold 2 equipped with an outer peripheral ring 52 provided with a cavity forming part 56 for forming the outer peripheral surface of the optical disk. Temperature control passages 31 and 81 are provided to the fixed mold 1 and the movable mold 2 and a radiation accelerating layer 57 comprising a ceramic layer is provided to the outer peripheral surface 52b and base 52c of the outer peripheral ring 52 other than the cavity forming part 56 thereof to regulate not only the temperatures of the fixed mold 1 and the movable mold 2 by the temperature control passages 31 and 81 but also the temperature of the outer peripheral ring 52 by the radiation accelerating layer 57.
