PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a platen from being so deformed that a distance to a recording head becomes uneven over a main scanning direction at the time of fitting the platen at a side frame. SOLUTION: The recorder is constituted by fitting an end part of the platen which regulates a distance between a printing paper and the recording head, at a side frame left 68a. A fitting means to the side frame left 68a of the platen is equipped with a tongue piece part 65g formed in a window hole 65f at the platen 65; positioning parts 68b and 68d for supporting the platen 65 thereby regulating the distance to the recording head 100; and a side frame side fixing part 68b which has a predetermined interval to the platen 65 in a state with the platen 65 supported by the positioning parts 68b and 68d, and is joined to the tongue piece part 65g. A base end 65h of the tongue piece part 65g is disposed not at a recording region outside at the platen 65, but at a recording region inside, namely, at a high-rigidity side, so that a deformation amount of the platen 65 is suppressed to a minimum.
