<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: a conventional member for use as a liner on which tires slide in water, is susceptible to chipping due to sliding of the tires thereon; and the conventional member can cause slippage of the tires. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a member 9 for the liner to be arranged on a surface on which tires travel in water. The member for the liner consists of a base stand 1 made of alumina ceramics, and a plurality of protrusions 2 formed on the base stand.
