PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart video camera with excellent design property by decreasing a size of a side of the housing of the video camera even when incorporating a capacitor with a large capacity to drive a strobe. SOLUTION: The video camera including the strobe 24 is configured such that a tape cassette 58 is replaceable by using an opening / closing lid 40 so as to make a part, from almost a lower half of a grip 38 swollen to a side part to a bottom, freely openable / closable, a swollen part 39 is formed to a lower end of the upper half of the grip 38, a cylindrical strobe capacitor 44 is arranged to the inside of the swollen part 39 and the inside of a circular-arc shaped cover 45 so that the capacitor 44 with a large capacity can stably be located and the smart video camera can be downsized.
