PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical insulating resin composition which does not contain styrene causing generation of bad smell, has the moisture resistance equal to or higher than that when styrene is used and provides a cured product excellent in reliability. SOLUTION: This electrical insulating resin composition contains, as an indispensable component, (A) unsaturated polyester, (B) at least one kind of reactive monomer selected from acrylic acid ester, methacrylic acid ester and their derivative which do not have hydroxyl group, and (C) metallic soap, wherein (B) reactive monomer of 40-300 pts.wt. is mixed to (A) unsaturated polyester of 100 pts.wt. and (C) metallic soap of 0.1-2.0 pts.wt. is mixed to 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of (A) unsaturated polyester and (B) reactive monomer.
