PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous flame burner capable of improving a luminous flame generation ratio. SOLUTION: In this luminous flame burner wherein an annular primary air discharge port 8 and an annular secondary air discharge port 9 are formed on an outer peripheral part of a gas supply cylinder 5 having a gas blowout port N at its tip end side in a state that the primary air discharge port 8 is located inside when observed from the axial direction along the axial direction of the gas supply cylinder 5, a secondary swirling means 10 is mounted for swirling the secondary combustion air discharged from the secondary air discharge port 9, and a gas fuel blown out from the gas blowout part N is burnt in a state of forming luminous flame, the gas blowout port N comprises a linear gas blowout part 11 for blowing out the gas fuel along the flowing direction of the primary combustion air to a flowing area of the primary combustion air discharged from the primary air discharge port 8, and a radial gas blowout part 12 for radially blowing out the gas fuel to a flowing area of the secondary combustion air discharged from the secondary air discharge port 9.
