PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a normally opened solenoid valve having improved liquid pressure controllability by restricting the flow amount of operating liquid to a desired adequate amount. SOLUTION: The normally opened solenoid valve 10 comprises a fixed core 20, a valve seat 40 having a communication hole 40a into which the operating liquid flows, a valve element 30 to be seated on the valve seat 40 to close the communication hole 40a, provided for opening/closing an operating liquid flow path, a movable core 28 opposed to the fixed core 20 and movable forward/backward to/from the valve seat 40 together with a retainer 24, a seat spring 50 for energizing the retainer 24 to be separated from the valve seat 40, a coil 12 to be energized to generate electromagnetic attractive force between the fixed core 20 and the movable core 28, and a flow amount restricting member 60 provided on the valve seat 40 at an upstream side BF<SB>in</SB>of the operating liquid flow path and having a first orifice 60a for restricting the flow amount of the operating liquid.
