PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an XML (eXtensible Markup Language)/Web service retrieval system by which a more appropriate retrieval result is replied to a Web service client by ensuring the operation state of XML/Web service. SOLUTION: A UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) server 100 is provided with each processing section, including an XML/Web service information input section 101, an XML/Web service investigation time intervals input section 102, an XML/Web service operation state determination parameter input section 103, an XML/Web service investigation processing section 104, an XML/Web service operation state determination processing section 105, and an XML/Web service retrieval processing section 106. The XML/Web service retrieval processing section 106 acquires an operation state determination result on an XML/Web service 110 complying with retrieval conditions.
