In a method for the personal management of parameter lists for an audio and/or video device ( 2 a , 2 b) by at least one user, an access facility ( 5 a , 5 b) is used to access, via a data network ( 7 ), a storage facility ( 4 ) connected to the audio and/or video device ( 2 a , 2 b), which storage facility ( 4 ) stores the parameter lists to be managed, which contain parameters for the audio and/or video device ( 2 a , 2 b), the access facility ( 5 a , 5 b) enabling amendment of the parameter lists to be managed in respect of the list entries contained therein.
