<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which can obtain a recording strategy optimum to the property of an optical disk for recording. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 21 generates a random pattern meeting an actual modulation rule, or multi-pulse or non-multi-pulse waveforms capable of adjusting the front or rear edge timing of the fixed pattern with two or more kinds, and records them on an optical disk by converting them into laser luminescence patterns through an ECC encoder 23, a modulator 24, and a laser controller 25. It reads and measures the phase difference of the recorded patterns by a phase error detector 15, and adjusts timings of the front and rear edges of the pulse waveform from phase difference information, then obtains the optimum strategy by repeating these processes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
