<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission for reducing heat radiation from a step motor which drives a shift control valve. <P>SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission is equipped with a primary pulley 1, a secondary pulley 2, a belt 3 installed between the primary pulley and the secondary pulley, the shift control valve 13 for supplying adjusted oil pressure to the primary pulley and the secondary pulley, a motor 14 for driving the shift control valve based on operation state and a shift control means 11 for controlling the motor. A rotation speed detection means 27 for detecting rotation speed of an engine of a vehicle, a stopping time detection means 11 for detecting stopping time of the vehicle, an oil temperature detection means 26 for detecting temperature of hydraulic oil and an abnormality judgement means 11 for judging abnormality are also provided and the shift control means 11 stops current supply to the motor in the case that the oil temperature of the hydraulic oil is equal to or higher than a first predetermined temperature or the abnormality judgement means judges abnormality of the oil temperature detection means in such a state that the vehicle stops for equal to or longer than first predetermined time with the engine rotating at a rotation speed faster than a predetermined speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
