PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic coating composition capable of forming a coating film having good adhesive properties to a plastic substrate, good water resistance, good conductivity and good transparency. SOLUTION: The composition is prepared by blending a conductive polymer comprising a poly(3,4-di-substituted thiophene) and a polyanion, a water-soluble compound having an amide or hydroxyl group which is liquid at ordinary temperature, and a water dispersion of a self-emulsifying polyester resin at a predetermined ratio. The composition forms the coating film having good adhesive properties, transparency, conductivity, solvent resistance, and especially, good water resistance. By blending a predetermined amount of an alkoxysilane having an epoxy group, water resistance and solvent resistance of the obtained coating film are further improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
