<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag for a front passenger seat for protecting an upper body of an occupant by catching softly. <P>SOLUTION: The air bag for the front passenger seat is structured by joining outer peripheral edges of two upper side and lower side ground fabrics 38, 43 mutually. The respective upper side and lower side ground fabrics 38, 43 arranges head part protecting panel parts 39, 44 positioned on a rear upper side of the air bag when inflation is completed for structuring a head part restraining part, and forms an approximately T shape where the ground fabrics extend to a rear lower side and front side on both left and right sides from the head part protecting panel parts 39, 44 when the inflation of the air bag is completed. Sections extending to both of the left and right sides of the head part protecting panel parts 39, 44 of the respective upper side and lower side ground fabrics 38, 43 serve as shoulder part protecting panel parts 41, 46 for structuring shoulder part restraining parts when the inflation of the air bag is completed. A connecting fabric 34 connects both left and right side shoulder part protecting panel parts 46, 46 on a side of the lower part ground fabric 43 so as to bring the left and right shoulder part restraining parts close with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
