A viewfinder mounting (M) for mounting a viewfinder (V) on a camera body (C) for adjustable movement in a common plane in two directions perpendicular to one another includes a first slide mechanism (24, 25) including first and second slide members coupled with each other for sliding movement relative to one another, and a second slide mechanism (33, 34) including third and fourth slide members coupled with each other for sliding movement relative to one another. A camera fixture (23) is employed to connect the first slide member (24) to the camera body, and a viewfinder fixture (41) is employed to connect the fourth slide member (34) to the viewfinder (V). A holder (30) connects the second (25) and third (33) slide members with one another to render the first (24, 25) and second (33, 34) slide mechanisms to lie perpendicular to each other. A slide lock mechanism (50) is provided for releasably locking the viewfinder fixture (41) and the camera fixture (23) relative to one another.
