PURPOSE: An acylation method for an aromatic compound is provided in which the acylation is performed without O-dealkylation of a starting aromatic ether. CONSTITUTION: An acylation method consisting in reacting the aromatic compound with an ablation agent, in the presence of a zeolite catalyst. The method comprises the steps of: mixing, by whatever means, the aromatic compound and the acylation agent; passing the mixture on a catalytic bed comprising at least one zeolite; and subjecting the reaction mixture from the catalytic bed to recirculate to the catalytic bed, for a number of times sufficient to obtain the desired conversion ratio of the substrate. |
