PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a frame which can achieve high-level performance with the less number of parts and does not necessarily require an exact analog PLL circuit. SOLUTION: The method includes a step to accept video samples formed by blindly sampling a video signal so as not to synchronize with a video signal including horizontal synchronization pulses at a sync tip level or a related synchronization signal; a step to store the accepted video samples in a memory where at least one video line of the video samples of each video signal can be stored; and a step to analyze sets of the accepted video samples. The step to analyze determines video characteristics of a video line with continuous arbitrary images of a video signal, and a horizontal synchronization position of each line of the sets of video samples including horizontal synchronization pulses at a sync tip level and a back porch area at a black level.
