In a digital receiver apparatus, useful information is provided to users without interruptions if the reception quality is degraded. There are included an information separating part (4) that stream reproduces and separates a demodulated signal (S3) into stream signals (S4) of respective multiplexed channels for output; a decoding part (5) that decodes a stream signal (S4) for output; and a control part (6) that selects one of the stream signals of the respective channels that is to be coded by the decoding part (5). When predetermined relations are not complied with by physical information indicative of the reception quality during reception and by data type of the stream signal of a selected one of the channels, the control part (6) selects and causes the steam signal of a different channel to be decoded by the decoding part (5).
