<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving method and an apparatus for simply correcting phase errors and timing errors with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An interpolation filter 336 corrects timing errors of a received digital signal 200 on the basis of a timing control signal 216 received from a second error detection section 56. A second phase rotation section 132 rotates a signal equalized by an equalizer 42 on the basis of a phase correction signal 220. The second error detection section 56 detects the phase errors and the timing errors on the basis of an output signal from the second phase rotation section 132. An FWT arithmetic section 50 carries out FWT arithmetic operation and outputs a Walsh transformation value FWT.
