<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for easily estimating a cost of water line piping in a short period of time without the design of a piping line. <P>SOLUTION: Field conditions are inputted by a user, and joint members suitable for the field conditions are automatically narrowed down. Plumbing instruments suitable for the joint members are automatically narrowed down, and the desired instrument is selected by the user out of the narrowed-down plumbing instruments. The joint members suitable for the plumbing instrument selected by the user are automatically selected from the narrowed-down joint members, and the desired joint member is selected by the user from the selected joint members. The required kinds and quantity of piping members are computed based on the plumbing instrument and joint member selected by the user.
