The windows of a tall building have so far been cleaned by hand. This requires a large number of working hours and is hence expensive. The automatic cleaning device comprises a lift capsule suspended to be movable along the building façade connected to a supply arm bearing at its free end a cleaning head which cleans the window panes preferably on the principle of the dish washer. The edge of the cleaning head is fitted with a peripheral sealing lip which prevents cleaning fluid from escaping from the cleaning head. The supply arm is fitted with the necessary supply and discharge lines for the cleaning fluid. The cleaning device is remote-controlled by a computer and its operations can be monitored by video cameras. |
