<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device capable of precluding generation of an excessive load on a rack-and-pinion type motion converting mechanism, suppressing generation of rattling sounds, and reducing the influence of the friction force in a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The motor-driven power steering device is equipped with the rack-and-pinion type motion converting mechanism 4 to convert the rotational motion of a steering wheel 31 into linear motions through meshing of a pinion shaft 6 with a rack shaft 13 and the motor 41 to assist the steering force on the steering wheel 31 by the driver, wherein a rubber piece 60 of resilient substance is inserted in the mechanism path from the pinion shaft 6 to the output shaft of the motor 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
