CAST COATED PAPER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast coated paper having a casted face with excellent surface feeling, and high white paper gloss and printed gloss in high productivity; and to provide a method for producing the cast coated paper. SOLUTION: The cast coated paper is obtained by forming a cast coated layer consisting essentially of a pigment and a binder on a base paper, pressing the cast-coated layer in a wet state to a heated mirror plane drum, and drying the coated paper to finish the cast coated paper. The cast coated layer contains≥50 pts. wt. inorganic pigment having 3.0-10 ratio (laser method/ sedimentation method) of particle diameters of the pigments each selected by the laser method and the sedimentation method based on 100 pts. wt. inorganic pigment, and further contains plastic pigments.
