Agglomerated filler for dental materials

Inorganic filler agglomerates (I), for dental materials, comprises 0.5-50 mu m large agglomerates of 200-7000 nm large inorganic particles, where the adjacent particles are merged together at the edges. Independent claims are also included for: (I) the preparation of comprising: (a) providing larger inorganic particles of 200-700 nm size by crushing larger particles, (b) thermally treating under casting at 200-1300[deg]C, (c) optionally fast cooling and (d) crushing the material that is thermally bonded together; and (II) dental materials comprising (I).
