<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card authentication method using biological information for permitting any person other than a card owner to use an IC card on the basis of the intention of the card owner and the IC card. <P>SOLUTION: The storage part of the IC card 10 is recorded with owner biological information 30, use permittee biological information 31 and user biological information 32. The user biological information 32 is set from the owner biological information 30 or the use permittee biological information 31 by a user biological information setting means 23. The user biological information 32 is collated when the IC card is used, so that it is possible for any person other than the owner to use the IC card.
