PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reduction in the amount of washing water circulated by suppressing the adhesion of residue in a filter mesh. SOLUTION: A dishwasher includes washing nozzles for jetting the washing water in a washing tub, a washing water storage portion provided under the washing tub, a washing pump for sucking the washing water from a flow port of the storage portion and supplying the washing water under pressure to the washing nozzles, and a residue filter provided at the flow port and having fine meshes for filtering the washing water to catch the residue. The residue filter is inclinedly provided so that the near side is positioned lower and the far side is positioned higher, and the center part of the residue filter has a drop-in recess for collecting the residue.
