<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil corresponding to a plug hole of which diameter is narrowed for an engine of which size and weight are reduced, and preventing decline in holding force of a tip of a high-pressure junction joint even if the outer diameter of plug seal rubber is narrowed. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition coil has a high-pressure insulating cylinder comprising plug hole seal rubber including a high-pressure terminal supplying high voltage to an ignition plug, the high-pressure junction joint and the plug seal rubber. The cylindrical plug seal rubber is fitted to the outer periphery inside the tip part of the high-pressure junction joint, and the inner periphery of the plug seal rubber is slide-fitted to the outer periphery of an insulator part of the ignition plug. The high-pressure terminal of the ignition coil is electrically connected to a top terminal of the ignition plug. On the outer periphery of the tip part of the high-pressure junction joint, an engagement part comprising a concentrically conical inclined face of which diameter is reduced toward the tip and an annular face projecting from the outer periphery in the radial direction and connected with the inclined face is provided. Due to this, even if the outer diameter of the plug seal rubber is narrowed, decline in holding force of the tip of the high-pressure junction joint is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
