<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the temperature coefficient τf to zero or near zero in a dielectric ceramic composition having a relative permittivity εr suited for submillimeter waves and millimeter waves. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic composition comprises Ba(Zn<SB>1/3</SB>Nb<SB>2/3</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>as the principal component and MgO. The composition has an MgO content of 10 to 45 wt. %, a temperature coefficient τf of ±20 ppm/K or smaller, and a relative permittivity εr of 16.5 to 26.0. To produce the dielectric ceramic composition, a Ba compound, a Zn compound, and an Nb compound as raw material compounds are mixed together, calcined, mixed with MgO and the mixture is fired.
