<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a semiconductor light-emitting device having less color shading, by suppressing color shading of the semiconductor light-emitting device, constituted combining a blue light emission element and a phosphor. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor light-emitting device is of a chip type-semiconductor light-emitting device which comprises a substrate, a blue LED mounted on the substrate, and a phosphor layer made up of a mixture of a yellow fluorescent material particle for sealing the circumference of the blue LED and a raw material. The yellow fluorescent material particle absorbs blue light, emitted by the blue LED and emits fluorescent light, having light emission peak in a wavelength range between 550 nm or longer and 600 nm or shorter, and is a silicate phosphor primarily made of a compound typically shown by the chemical formula (Sr<SB>1-a1-b1-x</SB>Ba<SB>a1</SB>Ca<SB>b1</SB>Eu<SB>x</SB>)<SB>2</SB>SiO<SB>4</SB>(0≤a1≤0.3, 0≤b1≤0.8, 0<x<1). Since the silicate phosphor particle is apt to be dispersed substantially uniformly in resin, satisfactory white light can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
