PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mislaying of a portable telephone by informing the fact that the portable telephone is mislaid in the compartment of a car. SOLUTION: The vehicle mounted device 10 capable of wireless connection with a plurality of portable telephones comprises a means for detecting the fact that all passengers have got off a vehicle, and a means for searching a portable telephone mislaid in the compartment of a car.
