PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of efficiently transferring data to a recording head. SOLUTION: A buffer 14 is constituted of M number of shift registers each with K bits being connected in series and stores a block driving order table. A selecting circuit 15 selects either one of signals with K bits outputted from the shift register 11 with N bits and a signal outputted from the buffer 14, fetches it therein, and outputs it to the buffer 14. Before starting a printing operation, a signal expressing a new block driving order table is inputted into the shift register 11 with N bits, and the selecting circuit 15 fetches the signal outputted from the shift register 11 with N bits, to renew the block driving order table. During the printing operation, only image data are inputted into the shift register 11 with N bits, and the selecting circuits 15 fetches the signal outputted from the buffer 14.
