<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate image persistence phenomenon on a fixed display part of a self-luminous type display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the cumulative light emitting amount according to the pixel constituting the self-luminous type display device, a correction value corresponding to the output of a still picture is multiplied to the inputted pixel data of the corresponding pixel. Thus, correction is performed so as to make input/output property of all the pixels equal. Such the smaller value of <1 is used for the correction value that the cumulative light emitting amount is smaller than a reference value.
