PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain runner with lock mechanism which can easily lock or set free the curtain runner at any point halfway when it runs. SOLUTION: A slide component given upward momentum and movable vertically is provided within the curtain runner body, and a lock protruding outward from the runner body is united with the upper end of this slide component, while a hole to engage with a curtain hook is provided at its lower end. By a latch system which holds this slide component at its upper open position and its lower position alternately each time when the slide component lowers at these two positions, the lock is separated from or pressed against the bottom surface of curtain rail to lock or set free the curtain runner at any position halfway when it runs.
