A navigation device appropriately providing information. Upon acquisition of traffic information and feature information, the navigation device produces guidance information formed as one data structure where time information included in both types of information and an ID number representing contents according to a kind are associated with each other. Based on the time information in the guidance information, a lapse time up to current time measured by timekeeping means is measured. Guidance information for which a predetermined time has expired causes an icon A corresponding to the guidance information to become transparent, the transparency being in a state different from a display mode of an icon A for which the predetermined time has not expired, and the icons A are displayed in states of icons A1 and A2. A user can easily recognize reliability of traffic information and feature information, and the navigation device can appropriately provide information.
