PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a desired wave and to perform a satisfactory receiving operation with a simple configuration when a plurality of signal waves that transmit one and the same broadcast content exist and a desired wave with satisfactory receiving sensitivity is selected and received from the plurality of signal waves. SOLUTION: An RF level detector 33 adjusts a high frequency receiving level in accordance with a selected threshold, and level detectors 31d to 31f detect a level in each signal wave to obtain a signal wave level detection value. A C/N (carrier to noise ratio) determining part 26a detects the C/N of each signal wave and outputs a C/N determination value as signal wave receiving sensitivity. A microcomputer 32 selects a threshold to be given to the RF level detector in accordance with the signal wave level detection value and the C/N determination value and performs receiving control of the desired wave.
