<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood panel to store an air bag so as to stabilize a projecting direction of the air bag in an air bag device for a pedestrian. <P>SOLUTION: This hood panel 13 is provided with: an outer panel 14 on an upper surface side; and an inner panel 15 disposed on a lower surface side of the outer panel 14, both of which are made of sheet metal. A rib 16 for reinforcement formed into a substantial U-shape in cross section to be projected downward is disposed at a peripheral edge of the inner panel 15. The air bag device 19 for the pedestrian provided with the air bag 39 to be stored by being folded at a position to be a lower part side in the vicinity of a rear end 13a and to open and expand toward an upper side by making gas for expansion flow is mounted on the hood panel 13.
