PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information sharing system for suppressing the control load of a terminal to be used by a user, and for enabling a plurality of users to share the same information at the same time. SOLUTION: A proxy server stores the page data of a Web page to be shared for browsing in a shared group by associating the page data with shared ID in a storage part, and at the time of receiving an address from a portable telephone, decides whether or not a sequence number received from the portable telephone is newer than the sequence number associated with the shared ID (a step S14). Then, the proxy server transmits the page data of the Web page stored in the storage part so as to be associated with the shared ID to the portable telephone when the decision result is negative.
