PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for an engine cooling a piston by always injecting engine oil of amount according to thermal load of the piston from a connecting rod small end part oil hole. SOLUTION: This bearing device for the engine is provided with a main bearing 3 pivotally supporting a journal 1a of a crankshaft 1 to an engine main body and including an oil passage 3c supplying oil, a crankshaft oil hole 12 of which one end passes through the journal in a radial direction and communicates to an oil hole 11 communicating to the oil passage 3c and of which another end opens on an outer circumference surface of the crank pin 2, a connecting rod bearing 5 pivotally supporting a crank pin 2 to a connecting rod large end part 4a and having an oil hole 5a capable of communicating to a crankshaft oil hole, a connecting rod oil hole 13 of which one end opens to the oil hole of the connecting rod bearing and of which another end opens to a tip of the small end part 4b and forms a connecting rod jet 13c, and oil grooves 5b, 5c provided on an inner circumference surface of the connecting rod bearing in a circumference direction and communicating to both sides of the oil hole at both ends and supplying oil of amount relating to thermal load of the piston to the connecting rod oil hole.
