PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual grinding machine capable of manually and smoothly grinding unevenness of a working surface by the vertical or right-to-left straight movement, effectively suck and collect powder dust or dust generated during the grinding, sucking powder or dust scattered in a vicinity of the grinding machine, and suppressing powder or dust remaining on a work to a minimum and preventing careless inhalation of the dust by a worker. SOLUTION: A cavity-like dust collection chamber of substantially rectangular shape in plan view is formed inside a rectangular casing body 1, a top plate 3 is provided on an upper face of the dust collection chamber, and a bottom plate forming a grinding surface with an abrasive material 4 such as buff and grinding paper attached thereto is provided on a lower face thereof. A large number of suction holes 8 to be directly connected to the dust collection chamber are formed in the bottom plate 5, both side faces 6, and a tip face 7 along the longitudinal direction, and a curtain 10 to be expanded toward the lower face via a supporting bridge 9 is attachably/detachably provided on at least one of the side faces.
