<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for housing an electronic component, which can securely hermetically seal an electronic component, can detect stably and discriminate a magnetic storage medium over a long period of time, and is excellent in long-term reliability, and to provide a magnetic sensor device. <P>SOLUTION: The package 9 for housing an electronic component comprises a base body 1, on one main surface of which a recess 1a for housing a permanent magnet 6 for magnetically coupling to external magnetism is formed; while on the other main surface of which a mounting part 1b for an electronic component 7 for detecting the change of the magnetic field generated between the permanent magnet 6 and the external magnetism is formed; electrode pads 2 formed on the mounting part 1b; wiring conductors 3 that are led from the mounting part 1b to the one main surface of the base body 1; contact pads 4 formed on the one main surface of the base body 1 and electrically connected to the wiring conductors 3; and a lid 5 which is composed of a ceramic, has an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of the upper surface of 0.5μm or smaller, and hermetically seals the electronic component 7 covering the mounting part 1b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
