<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a user felt anxious whether copying has been correctly performed concerning a printing job, during which jamming occurs even once whatever method the user applies, even though the conventional image forming apparatus has a recovery method that a document is set and read again from the beginning or performs recovery, by displaying/printing image data read last and performing reset from the document corresponding to the displayed image, when the printing job is interrupted because of jamming or the like in an automatic document feeder of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A situation that the printing job is interrupted, because of the jamming or the like in the automatic document feeder in the midst of the job frequently happens in the midst of reading the document of one page in the automatic document feeder, especially, a sheet-through system feeder. In such a case, the image of the document which does not fulfill one page is printed without being erased.
